Horseback Riding
This is the place to ride if you want great horses and beautiful mountain scenery in the fresh air that only country living can provide. Ride includes a combination of forest roads and trails through scenic Green Ridge State Forest. If you have a child ages 2 - 6 ask about a buddy saddle so that they can ride with you. Maximum weight limit for riders is 250 pounds.

Whitewater Rafting
Enjoy an exhilarating thrill ride down the Upper Youghiogheny, world renowned for its tight and technical passages featuring a continuous white water and a world class drop of over 115 feet per mile or try a little less intimidating rafting trip with class III - IV rapids. If they both seem a little more than you're looking for then maybe a family float trip is more to your liking. No matter what your level of adventure we have the trip for you!
Rafting level I - II includes a deli lunch, suggested minimum age of 4, 3-5 hours long.

Fishing
Fishing is permitted year round on Lake Habeeb both from the shore and from boats. Small mouth bass, large mouth bass, catfish, bluegill and a variety of pan fish are found in the lake. Rainbow and Brown trout are stocked several times a year. Those over 16 must obtain a Maryland Anglers License.
Guided Bass Fishing on Lake Habeeb
Try your hand at bass fishing with a professional bass fishing guide. Instruction, equipment and technique are all included in this half day trip. Spend the day fishing from a bass boat on scenic Lake Habeeb.

Western Maryland Scenic Railroad
All aboard! The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad is ready to take you on a journey through time. When you step on board the vintage 1916 Baldwin Locomotive, you'll feel like you're traveling to another era. Specialty Trains, such as the Murder Mystery and Dinner Train, are also available. The train can be booked exclusively for your group or tickets can be purchased individually. Group rates are available.
Bike Rentals
Your group can enjoy riding together or on their own. Bikes are available for rental at the front desk. For large groups of five or more, please schedule in advance to ensure the appropriate amount of bikes.

Bike Shuttle Service
Looking for a scenic relaxing bike ride? Let us provide you with a bike shuttle to either the historic C&O Canal or the recently completed Allegany Highlands Trail. You let us know the type of ride you're looking for and we will help you map it out. We would be more than happy to add a bottled water, snack pack or boxed lunch to enjoy on the trip.

GPS Rentals / Geocaching
Try combining technology with a good old fashion treasure hunt in this new sport of Geocaching. Learn the basics of using a handheld GPS unit, get your coordinates and head out on your adventure. This can be done in the park by foot or expanded so that you will drive through the Cumberland area while searching for hidden caches. Your rental will include everything you need to participate in the ultimate treasure hunt, basic instruction, GPS unit, and coordinates for local caches. Deposit required.

Recirculating Whitewater Course (Man-made)
Experience an authentic outdoor adventure from the world's only mountain-top whitewater course, and come raft the swirling rapids and surging water with world class guide staff. Historical Tours
Spend the day in the mountains of Cumberland, Maryland experiencing the area's rich history. Tour some of the historic churches, including the Emmanuel Episcopal Church (1848). This church is home to three Louis Comfort Tiffany Stained Glass windows and tunnels you can explore underneath the church that George Washington's soldiers built in 1755 during the French and Indian War. Take a relaxing tour of the Gordon-Roberts house with 18 rooms depicting life in the area during the late 1800's. That's when Cumberland was the second largest city in the state of Maryland. Finish off your visit there with a Victorian Tea. Stops at the Allegany County Museum, the Mount Savage Castle, Thrasher Carriage Museum and the Toll house can be included on these customize historical tours. Each tour is designed to meet the time requirements and the interests of your group. Transportation and lunch can be included.
