Rick Flowers, PGA Member and Head Golf Professional
A Class "A" member of the Professional Golfer's Association since 1994, he has nearly 20 years of experience in golf instruction. Rick spent 1997 to 2001 teaching the game of golf to a nationwide audience as a member of the world's largest golf instruction academy, the John Jacob's Golf School, home to four of the Top 50 Golf Magazine Instructors during that time. He has worked with players of all levels from beginners and kids, to seasoned touring professionals. After a four year stint as the NCAA Head Golf Coach of Frostburg State University, he became the Head Golf Professional at Rocky Gap Lodge and Golf resort in 2007.
Bill Humbertson, PGA Member and Director of Instruction
A Class "A" member of the Professional Golfer's Association since 1987, he has over 20 years of experience in golf instruction. Bill has given golf instruction to thousands of satisfied students and was a welcome addition to the resort in 2007. He has worked and taught as a golf professional at Port Royal GC in Hilton Head, SC, Houston CC in Houston, TX, and Torrey Pines GC in San Diego, CA, host of the 2008 U.S. Open.

Playing Lessons
On-course instruction is handled in two different styles. The first is designed to lower a student's scores by educating them to become more efficient with the on-course management of their golf games. The second is designed to familiarize beginning players with the a golf course and the game of golf. Neither playing lesson is a golf swing lesson, swing lessons take place on the driving range only.
3-Hole Playing Lesson: $70 per student
9-Hole Playing Lesson: $125 per student
Video Instruction
A video analysis of your golf swing is available from both of our PGA Instructors.
45 minute video-session: $75 per student
Group Programs
Occasionally, participants wish to get their instruction in a group setting. We can usually accomodate any number of guests, but couples and families seem to be the most popular sizes.
Two Adult Students - One-Hour Lesson: $50 per student
Each Additional Adult Student: $30 per student
Each Additional Junior Student: $20 per student
Club Fitting
Rocky Gap invites you to work with our qualified teaching professionals and our Titleist and Ping Club Fitting Systems to pinpoint the equipment that will produce the best results on the golf course for you. Fittings cost $50 and generally must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. If you purchase your set of golf clubs here at Rocky Gap, we will deduct the fitting fee from your purchase.
