Rocky Gap Casino Resort Donates Nearly 400 Toys to Local Children Through Toys for Tots Drive

Flintstone, Md. – Jan. 12, 2022 – Rocky Gap Casino Resort, located at 16701 Lakeview Road NE, collected a grand total of 378 toys for local children through the annual Toys for Tots drive, a holiday gift collection program sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to benefit less fortunate youth.
Since Rocky Gap’s first Toys for Tots drive in 2014, team members and guests have remained committed to making gift donations during the holiday season. This year, Rocky Gap collected new and unused toys from Wednesday, Dec. 1 to Monday, Dec. 20, collecting 378 toys for children in the community. True Rewards members who donated new or unused toys during the drive received $5 in free slot play to use at the casino.

Toys for Tots is a program founded by the U.S. Marine Corps in 1947, with the affiliated non-profit Marine Toys for Tots created in 1991. Since then, the mission of the organization has been to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute them, to help bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to less fortunate children throughout the U.S. For more than 70 years, the program has distributed more than 566 million toys to 258 children.
